“Teaching” Santa Clauses appeared in Russia: they turned out to be fired teachers

“Santa Clauses and Snow Maidens are useful, we will teach your child only good things,” such advertisements appeared on the RuNet, some at prices significantly lower than the market.

We found out who these “very useful” fairy-tale characters are and what they were going to teach boys and girls, as well as their parents, for the New Year?

Many parents all over Russia say the same thing: well, yes, they heard back in the fall that the services of artists performing in New Year’s fairy-tale performances for children have become more expensive – but not to the same extent! And an hour-long performance from Father Frost and the Snow Maiden, and in the morning hours in the premises of a kindergarten or school, this December will actually cost about 40 thousand rubles, and if it is before December 15. And under 90 thousand rubles, if after.

– That is, if there are 10 people in a kindergarten group, each parent must pass 4 thousand! – Marina, Kiryusha’s mother from the senior group of the capital’s kindergarten, is indignant. “My husband and I decided to order it for our grandfather ourselves, to be delivered to our home. But they found out the prices and were horrified!

We check – and we are also horrified. Fairy-tale characters have inflated their prices much more than they warned us in November. Despite the fact that the price tag of the minimum New Year’s couple (Grandfather with his granddaughter, the Snow Maiden) depends on the category chosen by the customer (there is standard, business and VIP), the cheapest congratulations on departure still costs 11,500 rubles per half hour, this is if the order is made before December 15th. And the most expensive fairy-tale duet will amuse your children for an hour on December 31 for 35 thousand rubles, but this is only until 10 pm, and then the price is negotiable.

When I asked what exactly their employees would do to entertain the kids, the manager from the reception apparently found it difficult to answer. He only knows that there is a “VIP holiday scenario for demanding children” (+5 thousand), a “business class” fairy tale for average children and an “express” one – apparently for those who are completely undemanding.

Having gone the same way as me, the mother of two elementary school children, Vera, who this year could not afford the Christmas tree at the club of her native research institute, came across an advertisement for Santa Claus “educating” in a regular online “flea market”, and for only 700 rubles per hour , regardless of the “number of children in the house and their age,” as well as the “waiting interval.”

“I called the number indicated,” says Vera, “where a male voice explained that he and his wife came up with educational New Year’s fairy tales for preschoolers and schoolchildren in grades 1-4. That is, as part of their New Year’s performance, they “play school” – they hold all sorts of competitions, charades and the like on the topics that take place in the preschool group of the kindergarten and in elementary school. The program was immediately sent to my phone. I studied it and liked it! Such fascinating questions and scenes are exactly what my reading resembles. They have several options to choose from, you can choose congratulations in English, mathematical riddles and so on. And the main thing is that “training Father Frost and Snegurochka,” since they are individuals without intermediaries, are cheaper than tutors for the “starter” and their colleagues from agencies.

– Isn’t it dangerous to invite someone you don’t know to your children?!

– So I already learned everything about them! These are former teachers, they both left the school not so long ago. He is a wordsmith, she is a music teacher. He has solid experience, he has 15 years of experience in school, she has 10. By the way, they also bring their children at the request of the customer, dressing them up as snowflakes and bunnies. They say everything is better than at school.

Well, it seems that many more are ready to adopt this “life hack”: in RuNet today there are about 30 thousand profiles of primary school teachers offering services to “close knowledge gaps in primary school subjects” for next to nothing, but the demand for them, apparently, is small – unlike their colleagues who teach for the Unified State Exam. But if they glue on a beard, put on kokoshniks and turn their studies into a farce, the stakes will immediately increase – the New Year requires new miracles.
