PJSC Tatneft paid 4.49 million rubles. as damage caused to the environment due to an oil spill in Tatarstan. This was announced by the head of Rosprirodnadzor Svetlana Radionova.
According to her, the soil contamination was caused by the Almetyevneft oil and gas production department, which is part of the Tatneft structure. A pipeline breakthrough occurred in the area of the Zainsk-Bukharay-Ursala-Almetyevsk highway, not far from the Solnechny children’s camp (also owned by Tatneft).
“Petroleum products got into the soil. The area of contamination exceeded 990 square meters. m,” wrote Mrs. Radionova in her Telegram channel.
Amount 4.49 million rubles. was presented to Tatneft. The Tatarstan company paid it voluntarily as part of a pre-trial settlement.
Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan reported about an oil spill near the Druzhba microdistrict in Almetyevsk in July. Then, according to regional officials, “as a result of the depressurization of the oil pipeline, the soil on an area of 198 square meters was contaminated. m”.
