Tatarstan Galieva will participate in the European Boxing Championship

A student of the Tatarstan school Gelyusa Galieva (weight category 50 kg) will participate in the European Boxing Championship as part of the Russian team. The championship will begin on April 18 in Belgrade (Serbia). Women will compete in 12 weight categories, men in 13.
President of the Boxing Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan, Deputy Secretary General of the Boxing Federation of the Russian Federation Sergei Ignatiev said that Tatarstan boxers have not participated in the European Championships for 33 years. The Federation is very happy that our Gelyusa Galieva from Arsk received the right to participate in such a tournament. This once again proves that the reboot has occurred: the level of Tatarstan boxing is growing steadily. At this championship, for the first time, men and women will compete for gold in the Old World at the same time.
The European Men’s Boxing Championships will be held for the 46th time. The previous one was in Katowice, Poland in 2023. The women’s championship will be the 14th in a row.
