Embassy in Bern: Switzerland did not invite Russia to the summit on Ukraine

Switzerland did not extend an invitation to the Russian Federation to participate in the summit on Ukraine. Moscow is not going to participate in this in any case. This statement was made by the press secretary of the Russian embassy in Bern, Vladimir Khokhlov.

“The Swiss side did not send Russia an invitation to the conference. Even if it receives an invitation to such an event, the Russian side will not accept it,” Khokhlov said.

In addition, he added that the idea of a peaceful conference on Ukraine, promoted by the organizers of the summit, is unacceptable for Russia, because we are talking about “another option for pushing through the unviable “peace formula” of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, which does not take into account the interests of the Russian side.

The day before, Bloomberg reported that Bern intends to hold a peace summit on Ukraine in mid-June. It is expected that the event will be attended by 80 to 100 states.
