On Saturday, September 10, the first open water night swim RUSKEALA NIGHT SWIM took place in the Ruskeala Mountain Park. The Karelian group “Sport is the norm of life” shared information that more than 50 swimmers from 8 regions of Russia took part in the swim.
The water temperature that night was only 13 degrees, but the support of the audience helped the athletes overcome distances of 350, 1100, 1850, 2600 and 3350 meters.
The main organizer of the sporting event, Aleksey Duryagin, noted that the atmosphere of Ruskeala added color to the competition – the start was announced in a marble canyon cave, illuminated with multi-colored illumination, where the participants got through a man-made labyrinth of galleries.
