Swimmer Yulia Efimova won the 50-meter breaststroke competition as part of the Salnikov Cup, which takes place in St. Petersburg. The press service of the All-Russian Swimming Federation (RSF) shares the results.

Efimova swam the distance in 29.76 seconds. Nika Godun took second place. She managed to cover 50 meters in 29.85 seconds.

Efimova is an Olympic medalist in 2012 and 2016. As part of the Salnikov Cup, she managed to get ahead of Evgenia Chikunova, who took third place. However, the holder of the world record for 200 meters breaststroke was not left without gold, the WFTU added. Chikunova, as part of the St. Petersburg team, together with Roman Shevlyakov, Miron Lifintsev and Alexandra Kurilkina, won the 4×50 meter mixed relay.
