The press service of the Swedish Foreign Ministry responded to a request from RIA Novosti to comment on Sergey Lavrov’s statement about Stockholm’s eloquent silence in response to official requests to investigate sabotage at Nord Stream with direct confirmation that the foreign policy department has nothing to answer Moscow.
“We noticed that Russian officials commented on the negotiations between Sweden and Russia over the Nord Stream. In Sweden, the judicial system is investigating. Therefore, the government has nothing to add,” representatives of the Swedish Foreign Ministry wrote.
Earlier this week, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Denmark and Sweden have been leaving Prime Minister Mishustin’s letters on the Nord Stream explosions unanswered for six months.
As the minister noted, in this case, they are trying to cover up the obvious fact with silence: the failure of attempts to divert the issue of the West’s responsibility for organizing and carrying out sabotage into the shadows.
