Belarus is ready to produce Russian MiG-25 attack aircraft, President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Belarusians make up to a thousand components for the MS-21 and Superjet 100. We have three factories: three military, one civilian. <...> And as I was informed in the government, they are ready to enter the production of the MiG-25 aircraft, in my opinion, which shows itself well in Ukraine, ”- said Lukashenka (quote from Interfax).
He added that the republic is ready to produce attack aircraft with Russian support. Lukashenka stressed that the country’s authorities are doing everything to “somehow overcome the barriers that are artificially created for us.”
On February 17, the President of Belarus arrived in Moscow for a meeting with Putin. Lukashenka said that at the meeting with the Russian president they would discuss issues of security and defense, as well as economic, political and military issues. The latter are planned to be discussed at a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, which may take place in April-May this year.
