Swedish boxer Wallin refused to shake hands with Russian Gassiev

The Russian Boxing Federation reported that during the weigh-in procedure before the fight, which is scheduled for September 30, Swedish boxer Otto Wallin refused to shake hands with Russian Murat Gassiev.
The winner of this fight will take second place in the IBF rankings.
Gassiev, commenting on Wallin’s action, said that he took it normally, since some people shake hands and others don’t.
“I wasn’t offended by him. It was just a little unusual,” said the Russian athlete.
The Swede, in turn, said that he came here not to be friends with Gassiev, but to defeat him. “This is boxing, not a friendly evening,” Wallin said, but added that he respects the Russian as a boxer.
