Swedish Prime Minister Kristersson refused to discuss NATO membership with Hungarian Prime Minister Orban
Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson has said he does not intend to negotiate the country’s NATO membership with his Hungarian counterpart Viktor Orban during a proposed visit to Hungary.
On January 23, Orban announced that he had invited Kristersson to Hungary, and two days later the media reported that Kristersson accepted the invitation.
The Swedish prime minister said that the parties “cannot negotiate about NATO membership,” but can discuss further cooperation within the framework of the North Atlantic Alliance.
