Law enforcement agencies detained a man in Volgograd who is suspected of burning the Koran in front of a mosque, reports “RIA News” with a link to the source. Later agency source declaredthat the suspect admitted to the security forces in cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine.
According to the publication v1.ru, the detainee is a 19-year-old native of Ukraine who works in a delivery service. He claims that he burned the Koran for money, reports V1.ru.
How informs edition, on May 19, a video was published on social networks in which an unknown person burns the Koran in front of a mosque in the Voroshilovsky district of Volgograd.
According to a V1.ru source, the detained young man studied at the Volgograd Pedagogical University.
On April 15, a video was circulated in Telegram channels, in which an unknown person burns the Koran against the backdrop of the Holy Lake in Moscow. The video is accompanied by the inscription: “Moscow for Russians, know your place.”
