Superfinals of the Russian Chess Championships continue in Cheboksary

On September 11, the first round of the Russian Chess Championship Superfinals was played in Cheboksary.
Superfinals are held as part of the Chess in Museums project. Chess players are playing in the premises of the Chuvash Art Museum. The prize fund is 11 million rubles. the prize of the open tournament – seven million, women’s – four million rubles.
Five pairs of players met in the first round. The only productive and longest game was Artemiev-Nesterov, in which won Vladislav Artemiev.
Recall that earlier MK in Cheboksary said that in Novocheboksarsk it is planned to open chess training center named after Anatoly Karpov.
