Assistant to the President of the United States for National Security Jake Sullivan said during a briefing that the transfer of F-16 fighters to Ukraine by third countries will take place after the completion of pilot training.
First of all, he noted that the United States would be ready, in cooperation with Congress and allies, to approve the transfer of the F-16 to Ukraine. “This follows from what the president has previously said,” Sullivan said.
At the same time, he “does not quite understand” why questions arise in connection with this. And in order to “finally dispel them,” Sullivan said: “After the training of the pilots, the transfer of aircraft will follow.”
