Scientists: Dogs Can Remember the Names of Objects

Dogs are able to understand what words people use to describe objects. This is reported in the results of research at Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, published in the journal Current Biology.

According to Reuters, the subjects of the study were 18 four-legged human friends. By studying the brain waves of dogs, scientists found that animals distinguish not only commands like “come to me” and “fetch”, but can also activate the memory of an object after hearing its name.
