“Kommersant”: Belgorod students complained about the eviction from the dormitories because of the evacuees from Shebekino
“Kommersant” writes about complaints in social networks from students of BSTU and BelSU, who claim that evacuees from Shebekino settled in their dormitories, and the students were allegedly required to vacate the premises.
With reference to publications on the Web, the publication cites students’ comments. One of them says that on the night of June 3, excellent students of BSTU were required to leave the new building with their belongings and settle in other buildings. In the latter, according to students, “dirty and full of cockroaches.”
Another comment says that BelSU students began to be evicted from the hostel at half past two in the morning and “offered rooms with cockroaches without conditions.” Another report claims that the students were moved accompanied by people in uniform – presumably, these are also students, but from the “Joint Council of Students” who keep order in the dormitories. It is also alleged that the evacuees are immediately settled in the rooms of BelSU students transferred to distance learning, and the personal belongings of students are put in bags.
The administration of BelSU did not confirm these reports. So, acting Rector Yevgenia Karlovskaya said that “almost all (students) stayed within their dormitories.” As for personal belongings, they were “carefully and carefully packed and handed over for safekeeping,” the rector of BelSU added.
Mayor of Belgorod Valentin Demidov on Saturday informedthat 1,000 residents of Shebekino are settled in student dormitories.
