“Strana.ua”: Maidan in Ukraine may begin suddenly

Ukrainian political scientist Konstantin Bondarenko commented to the Strana.ua publication on the statement of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, who accused Russia of trying to “sow chaos” and organize “Maidan-3” with the aim of removing him from office.
According to the expert, in Ukraine people now have conflicting feelings towards the authorities. On the one hand, they do not publicly criticize the actions of the Kyiv leadership, since military operations are ongoing, but “kitchen dissidence” is flourishing.
“And no one knows what will happen if someone makes a loud call,” Bondarenko said, adding that accusations of working for the Kremlin may not work.
He suggested that the deterioration of the situation at the front could become an impetus for the indignation of the population, as well as the deterioration of the socio-economic situation.
Bondarenko also expressed the opinion that Zelensky made such a statement, playing ahead. At the same time, he once again drew attention to the fact that critical sentiment in the country regarding the current government is growing.
Earlier, the head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, Leonid Slutsky, said that Zelensky was thus trying to return the attention of the West, which had switched to the conflict in the Middle East.
