Stoloto announced the winners of the second stage of the annual grant competition for NGOs

The results of the second stage of the annual grant competition for non-profit organizations in 2023 have been summed up, the press service of the distributor of all-Russian state lotteries Stoloto reported. The winners were the charitable foundation “Children’s and adult hospice “Paper Bird” (St. Petersburg), the NGO “House of Mercy of the Blacksmith Lobov” (Yaroslavl region), the charitable foundation “Raul” (St. Petersburg) and the “Naberezhnye Chelny School” “Omet” for children with disabilities” (Republic of Tatarstan).

The competition is held to select grant recipients within the framework of corporate social responsibility and charity programs of the state lottery distributor, the main directions of which are helping children without parental care, the disabled and elderly people in difficult life situations. The total amount allocated for the winners of the grant competition in 2023 is 4 million rubles.

Based on the results of evaluating the projects submitted to the second stage of the competition, the Council for Charitable Activities of the state lottery distributor selected four winners from 174 submitted applications. The winners of the competition will receive grants in the amount of 500,000 rubles. Previously, another 2 million rubles were distributed among the winners of the first stage of the competition, the results of which were summed up on July 19, 2023.

“We see that interest in our grant competition is growing. If in the previous year 2022 we received 169 applications for participation, then in the second half of 2023 alone we received 174 applications. And these applications come from a variety of organizations – social institutions, charitable foundations, autonomous non-profit organizations. This year we selected a total of eight projects. As last year, it was decided to distribute funds between several projects. This approach allows us to provide assistance in several areas at once and help a larger number of those who need support. Next year we plan to continue holding a grant competition: funds have already been budgeted for this, and we are glad that we have this opportunity to provide assistance to those who need it,” noted the Director of Sponsorship and CSR of the S8 Capital holding ( which includes “Stoloto”) Oksana Tubman.

“The Paper Bird children’s and adult hospice won a grant to finance an educational project on the ethics of interaction with people with disabilities. As part of the project, an educational course on inclusion in the corporate sphere will be developed, a landing page, educational materials and training videos will be created to raise the level of business awareness about the ethics of interaction with people with disabilities, as well as about opportunities to participate in social projects.

The NGO “Blacksmith Lobov’s House of Mercy” received a grant, the funds from which will be used to develop on-site palliative medical care for seriously ill people. Funds from the grant will be used to purchase a new car for outreach care. This will increase the availability and timeliness of care for seriously ill people, especially those living in rural areas.

The Raul Charitable Foundation will use the grant funds for the “Employment with Support” project, which will help people with disabilities and graduates of special schools, orphanages and boarding homes find work. Thanks to supported employment, young people with low starting opportunities will gain work experience in real production conditions for further transition to the open labor market in order to realize the rights to work, independence and a full life.

“Naberezhnye Chelny school “Omet” for children with disabilities” received a grant for the implementation of the project “With sports in life”, within the framework of which it is planned to organize a school championship and Health Days. Using funds from the grant, the school will also purchase two specialized sports wheelchairs for training in the new athletics section.
