This is the first time such an event has been held in the city. “Steel Starts” is a new city sports competition for school students. 17 school teams will compete in six disciplines: relay swimming, functional all-around, futsal, bowling, badminton and darts.
The event will take place within the walls of the Neptune and Sportpark sports complexes for 6 days. The playrooms and paths of the swimming pool will be occupied by teams of schoolchildren from the regional center aged 10 to 15 years.
The winning team based on the sum of all competitions will be awarded a cash certificate for the purchase of sports equipment and uniforms and the arrangement of school sports facilities. They will also present a challenge cup from the charity foundation “Mercy”. Certificates will be given to teams that take second and third places.
