In the Turkmen district of the Stavropol Territory, after heavy rains, a dam broke through on one of the ponds near the village of Kambulat. About it reported in the Telegram channel of the Governor of the Stavropol Territory Vladimir Vladimirov.
According to this information, the water that has spilled over the Kambulat and Aigurka rivers is directed to the village of Poperechny. The situation was complicated by the water that came from the fields.
“Specialists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the head of the territory on the spot, are assessing the situation in order to determine further measures,” the governor said. The report says that while the rise in water is insignificant: “there is no threat of a strong flood”, “the situation is under control.”
Due to weather risks, a high alert mode has been introduced in the region, which will approximately remain until June 29 inclusive.
