The special school in the village of Sengileevsky in the Shpakovsky district of the Stavropol Territory was last overhauled in the mid-80s, when these premises built in 1961 were reconstructed into a correctional boarding school for children with disabilities. Since then, the old building has not seen a large-scale reconstruction even once. Until this spring.
The special school was included in the federal program for the overhaul of educational institutions. In 2019, the roof was updated at the school, and starting this spring, full-scale construction has been launched at the school.
In record time, before the start of the school year, the workers managed to renovate the façade by covering the outer walls with decorative plaster and the plinth with porcelain stoneware. Classrooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, and a catering unit have been renovated.
In addition to new desks, chairs, storage cabinets and other furniture, the special school has purchased equipment for its training workshop. In addition, a training greenhouse appeared at the school.
About a hundred children with disabilities study at an educational institution in the village of Sengileevskoye, whom their parents bring here for a five-day week, including from the regional center – Stavropol.
