A state of emergency has been introduced in the forests of the Sverdlovsk region. The relevant decree signed acting head of the region Oleg Chemezov.

According to Sverdlovsk Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the introduction of the emergency regime was dictated by the complication of the forest fire situation caused by abnormally hot weather and the need to “attract the maximum possible resources to eliminate natural fires.”

According to operational information, there are 25 natural fires in the Sverdlovsk region, 9 of which are localized on an area of ​​432 hectares. The most difficult situation is observed in the urban district of Verkhnyaya Pyshma, where the fire could go to gardening partnerships.

Over the past day in the region liquidated 14 natural fires on an area of ​​more than 270 hectares. More than 700 people were involved in putting out the fire in the Ural forests.

Recall that in the Sverdlovsk region last week there were several large fires. The most serious is in the village of Sosva, where the fire destroyed houses more than 600 people, as well as a hospital for prisoners. Two people died as a result of the incident.
