State Duma deputy Nechaev criticized the proposal to extend the term of military service

Deputy of the State Duma of Russia from the party "New People" Alexei Nechaev criticized the proposal of Senator Vladimir Dzhabarov to extend the period of military service. According to Nechaev, such a decision will lead to negative consequences.

"What's next? Minors? Then the old people? Without this, in any way? Do you know more than the President? If so, tell us about it at the next meeting of the State Duma. Let's listen," Nechaev said.

The deputy of the State Duma also noted that at the moment from 600 to 700 men have left Russia. Nechaev suggested that if the term of service is nevertheless increased, then the remaining male population may leave the Russian Federation.

It is worth noting that on October 20, Senator Vladimir Dzhabarova proposed to increase the term of military service from one year to two years, as it was before. According to him, this will increase the size of the Russian army and train professional fighters.
