State Duma deputy Burlyaev called the goal of the “Cultural Front” the mobilization and rallying of people of culture

State Duma deputy Nikolai Burlyaev (Fair Russia – For Truth (SRZP)) said that in Russia they plan to create a non-partisan movement “Cultural Front of Russia”, which will “mobilize and rally cultural figures” throughout the country. Mr. Burlyaev is a member of the Anti-Russian Activities Investigation Group (GRAD), the organization’s website is called “Cultural Front”.

“Today, at the time of the mobilization of our soldiers for a decisive battle with world Nazism and Satanism, it is necessary to mobilize and rally cultural and art workers, therefore, a decision was made to create in our country the all-Russian public non-party movement “Cultural Front of Russia” for the synergy of creative workers with the whole society”, – said Mr. Burlyaev during the round table “Consolidation of culture for our victory” (TASS quote).

November 18 in an interview “Parliamentary newspaper” The deputy said that at the start of work, about 40 people agreed to enter the central headquarters of the Cultural Front, including Andrei Konchalovsky, Yuri Bashmet, Pyotr Tolstoy and Karen Shakhnazarov.

At the same time, Mr. Burlyaev clarified that the goal of the movement was to consolidate Russian cultural figures, because, according to him, there are much more of them than those “who left and betrayed their homeland.” “It is no longer possible to live, as it is now, in a state of neglect of the traditional spiritual and moral directions of our culture. I emphasize that we are talking about all types of art – cinema, theater, music, literature, painting and others, ”he said.

In addition, in August, at the initiative of the SRZP, a group was created to investigate anti-Russian activities. Its participants, including Mr. Burlyaev, intend to identify cultural figures with an “anti-state position” and their “accomplices” in state structures.

The GRAD website published a list of “agents of foreign influence” who spoke out against the military operation and supported them by officials and top managers. Among others, it included TV presenter Ivan Urganta, general director of Channel One Konstantin Ernst, members of the Bi-2 group, director Alexander Molochnikov and director of the Bolshoi Theater Vladimir Urin.

The initiators emphasize the “humanism of the project”, which consists in the possibility of the defendants to leave the register by “actively supporting the civilian population of the LDNR, as well as the RF Armed Forces.”
