Governor of the Kursk region Roman Starovoit in his TelegramThe channel reported that the region decided to cancel the holiday of jam. This was done for the sake of the Russian military involved in a special operation in Ukraine.

Starovoit noted that jam, honey, gingerbread and sweets would be sent to the front. He added that it is impossible to curtail all cultural or sporting events. However, victory must come first.

Earlier, Roman Starovoit said that he supported the call of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, for “self-mobilization” in the regions in terms of attracting volunteers to participate in a special operation in Ukraine. According to him, in total, “more than 800 volunteers” have already been sent from Kursk, including to our Seim logistics battalion.

According to the official, he should deal with the supply of fuel, food and ammunition. All volunteers were “fully provided with everything necessary.” And yet, according to him, there is a recruitment of volunteers “in the mobilization human reserve”, whose task is to protect “the borders of the Kursk region, the liquidation of emergencies and natural disasters.”
