St. Petersburg theaters have canceled performances, concerts and excursions planned for March 23 and 24 due to mourning, the theater press services reported.
The postponement of events was reported in Mariinsky, Mikhailovsky, AlexandrinskyMaly and Bolshoi Drama Theatres, at the Lensovet Theater, at the Youth Theater on Fontanka, at the Buff Theater, at the Vasilievsky Theater, at the Baltic House Festival Theatre, at the N. P. Akimov Comedy Theater.
The day before, in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, all entertainment events planned for March 23 and 24 were canceled. Such measures were taken by regional governors Alexander Beglov and Alexander Drozdenko after the terrorist attack that occurred in Krasnogorsk near Moscow. The Mirage Cinema and Karo cinema chains, as well as Lenfilm, also announced the cancellation of screenings.
On the evening of March 22, a terrorist attack occurred in Krasnogorsk near Moscow. Several men in camouflage opened fire on people gathered at Crocus City Hall, where a concert of the rock group Picnic was to take place. They set off several explosions and set the building on fire.
