The Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle with the Progress MS-26 transport cargo ship launched from pad number 31 of the Baikonur Cosmodrome, follows from the broadcast of the Roscosmos state corporation on YouTube. Progress is expected to dock with the Zvezda service module of the Russian segment of the ISS.
The launch took place at 06:25. About nine minutes later, the craft separated from the rocket’s third stage. Docking with the Zvezda module is scheduled for 09:12 on February 17. The cargo ship will stay in orbit for 180 days.
How reported Roscosmos, the cargo ship will deliver 2.5 tons of cargo to the ISS, in particular about 1.5 tons of apparatus and equipment for servicing station systems, clothing, supplies, medical and hygiene products for the crew. Progress MS-26 will also deliver 580 kg of fuel, 420 liters of water and 40 kg of nitrogen.
