South Ural residents will take part in the international rally “Silk Way”

The Silk Way International Rally starts on July 6. For the first time, a team from the Ural automobile plant will compete in it. A hooded all-wheel drive with an engine capacity of 1,100 horsepower, which exceeds the power of rally MAZ and KamAZ trucks, will start from the enterprise.
The crew includes pilots Yuri Naiman, Dmitry Vikhrenko and mechanic Alexei Popov.
98 crews from 23 countries have entered the 13th international rally. Competitors have to overcome 5247 kilometers. Moreover, half of the route consists of high-speed sections. It will pass through Ufa, Magnitogorsk, Orenburg, Samara, Saratov, Volgograd, Lipetsk. The rally will finish in Moscow on July 15.
It should be noted that in 1992 two Ural-43223 cars participated in the longest Paris-Moscow-Beijing rally. The crew of Vladimir Goltsov, Sergey Shtin and Sergey Yuzik reached the capital of China.
