36 schoolchildren from Kama region became winners and prize-winners of the governor’s tournament in rapid chess

The governor’s tournament in rapid chess, dedicated to the celebration of the 300th anniversary of Perm, went on for two days. More than 240 children from the territories of the Kama region competed for cups and exclusive medals. 36 schoolchildren from Perm, Kungur, Solikamsk, Chernushka, the village of Brod in the Chernushinsky district, the village of Novorozhdestvenskoye in the Lysvensky district and other municipalities became winners and prize-winners.
Chess competitions were held at the Academy of the First Center for identifying and supporting gifted children, the regional Ministry of Education and Science said. Schoolchildren from grades 1 to 11 took part in the tournament. Competitions were conducted according to the Swiss system in eight rounds.
The winners and prize-winners are invited to a specialized session at the Academy of the First, where they will be able to train with grandmasters. For the first place, the winners were presented with engraved chessboards, commemorative T-shirts, shoppers and notepads. The winners received branded merch, speakers (for 2nd place) and mind games (for 3rd place).
