South Korea reports two ballistic missiles fired by North Korea

North Korea fired two ballistic missiles into the Sea of Japan off its east coast, writes Reuters, citing the South Korean military.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff of South Korea specified that the missiles were launched from the area of the Sunan airfield in Pyongyang. The missiles flew 250 and 350 km respectively, writes Japan Times. According to the Ministry of Defense of Japan, the flight altitude of one of the missiles reached 50 km.
It is specified that 2022 was a record year for the number of ballistic missile launches by North Korea. In total, more than 65 missiles were fired in a year.
The DPRK last launched two medium-range ballistic missiles from Tongchang-ri into the Sea of Japan on December 18. The missiles flew about 500 km.
