The Republic of South Africa invited Ukraine to involve Russia in the discussion of the Kyiv “peace formula”. This was stated by the head of the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Naledi Pandor, in an interview with SABC television.
She recalled that South Africa participates in such meetings and at one of the platforms proposed inviting Russian representatives to subsequent sessions for a more formal discussion of issues. However, no response has yet been received from Kyiv.
The “peace formula”, proposed and supported by the Ukrainian side, aims to restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine, provide it with Euro-Atlantic security guarantees and establish a special tribunal to investigate alleged “war crimes” attributed to Russia. However, this “peace formula” is viewed in Moscow as divorced from reality.
