Court bars Trump from participating in Colorado primaries

The Colorado Supreme Court has decided to block former US President Donald Trump from participating in local primaries to determine the 2024 Republican Party nominee in the 2024 election.
The court decision clarifies that the basis for it was the 14th Amendment to the US Constitution, according to which a citizen who, “while holding office, participated in rebellion or rebellion against the United States,” cannot be elected president.
“It is incorrect to designate Trump as a candidate in the primaries,” the court’s ruling said.
