Sony signs deal with Microsoft to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation

Microsoft and Sony have signed an agreement to keep new games in the Call of Duty series on PlayStation consoles. About it declared Head of Xbox Division Phil Spencer, stressing that the company “is looking forward to a new future where gamers around the world will have more opportunities to play their favorite games.”
Mr. Spencer did not specify how long the contract is expected to last. Microsoft previously signed a ten-year deal with Nintendo to release its games on the company’s consoles, and offered Sony a similar option. The issue of continuing to release Call of Duty games on PlayStation consoles was one of the obstacles to the deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard.
Microsoft this week won case in court at the suit of the US Federal Trade Commission and received permission to complete the deal to buy Activision Blizzard for $68.7 billion. At the same time, the British regulator announced the resumption of negotiations with Microsoft regarding the deal.
