The 2023-2024 season in the Second League was revolutionary thanks to a reform that changed the structure of the championship. If previously teams competed in four groups, divided by geography, now the Second League is divided into three separate championships. In Group A, teams trade between themselves in the Gold and Silver divisions, while in Group B the traditional division based on geographical location has been maintained.
Some teams that previously played in the Second League will not be able to take part in the spring part of the 2023-2024 season. In the Second League “A” all teams feel good and are ready to start on March 2, as planned, but in the division below the situation is worse. “SKA-Rostov”, “Torpedo-2”, “Znamya Noginsk”, “Khimik-August” and “Zorkiy” will miss the second part of the 2023-2024 season. “Army Men” switched to media football, “Torpedo-2” suspended its activities due to poor results, and the rest did not find funding.
Let us remind you that the start of the Ivanovo “Textilshchik” in the spring part of the 2023-2024 season is scheduled for March 2.
