Several direct Air Cairo flights to Egypt, carrying PEGAS Touristik and Coral Travel tourists, will have a technical landing in Antalya, the press service of the Russian Tour Operators Association reported (ATOR). Information about the mass cancellation of flights to Egypt is not true, the department emphasized.
The technical stop in Antalya takes about an hour. Passengers and luggage do not leave the plane. ATOR emphasized that travel agencies and tourists have been informed of the changes. The return flight also involves a technical stop.
According to tour operator PEGAS Touiristik, there is no talk of systemic changes to the flight program. Flights from Moscow with a landing in Turkey will be operated exclusively until the problems are resolved by the Egyptian carrier.
The association emphasized that information about cancellations and connecting flights, which involve changing aircraft and long waits at the airport, is not true.
