In Russia, indexation of social pensions is planned for April 1 – they will be increased by 7.5%. This was announced on Friday, February 9, by the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation.
The department emphasized that this indexation will increase pension payments for 4.1 million Russians.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Labor Anton Kotyakov presented a report to the head of state Vladimir Putin, according to which almost 40% of Russian citizens in one form or another receive assistance from the state. The Russian leader was assured that the increase in payments that happened in 2024 is not an election story: an increase in state support for citizens is provided for in the three-year budget.
Prior to this, State Duma deputy Nikita Chaplin recalled that in Russia working pensioners can receive an additional two-week vacation, compensation for travel costs and payment for housing and communal services. In this case, after dismissal, the pension will be paid taking into account all indexations.
