Sochi sambo wrestlers won the regional school league

The regional competitions of the school sambo league “Russian Military Glory Cup” have ended in Anapa. Schoolchildren who do not practice this type of martial arts professionally took to the mat, the resort administration reports.

Over the course of three days, students from Sochi, Anapa, Novorossiysk, Kanevsky and Kurganinsky districts, as well as the village of Starominskaya, determined the winners. As a result, the team from secondary school No. 85 in Sochi won first place in the team competition. Now representatives of the educational institution will perform at all-Russian competitions at the International Sambo Center (Moscow) from April 12 to 14 (0+). The team consists of 6 boys and 2 girls.

– Sambo is universal self-defense skills for children and adolescents. “Young people learn how to resist an attacker in various situations, to protect themselves and their comrades,” noted the head of Sochi, Alexey Kopaygorodsky.

Regional competitions were held among educational organizations implementing the all-Russian project “Sambo to School”.
