Sochi resident became European champion in Thai boxing

An athlete from Sochi, Kirill Chizhik, won the European Muaythai Championship. The prestigious Muay Thai tournament was hosted by Turkish Antalya.
Kirill Chizhik became the strongest in the weight category up to 51 kilograms. In the final match, he defeated an athlete from Turkey. This was reported by the city Department of Physical Culture and Sports.
The 23-year-old athlete is a student of School No. 3 and trains with Eduard Protsenko. His victory allowed the Russian team to become the strongest in the team competition.
In May of this year, Chizhik took part in the Muaythai World Championship in the homeland of this sport in Thailand, but could not be among the winners.
