An athlete from Kalmykia wins the Belt Wrestling World Cup

Kalmyk wrestlers took part in the Belt Wrestling World Cup in the city of Verkhnyaya Pyshma, Sverdlovsk Region. More than 100 athletes from 25 countries took part in the competition.
As a result of the competition, Sanji Karuev became the winner of the World Cup in the weight up to 90 kg, Leonid Savkhaev took third place in the weight up to 62 kg. Both Kalmyk athletes performed in the classical style.
Karuev fought against wrestlers from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. In the final, he defeated the Russian, the representative of Tatarstan.
