Sochi hockey players broke their losing streak

The Sochi hockey club resumed its home series of matches with a victory. After a week-long break, Dmitry Kokorev’s team broke the streak of four defeats, beating SKA from St. Petersburg. The result of the match at the Bolshoi Ice Palace was 5:4 in favor of the Leopards.
In the first period, the guests were able to lead with a score of 2:0. In the second third of the match, goals from Kirill Rasskazov, Dmitry Zavgorodniy and Artem Tyanulin brought the Sochi team ahead. Then the guests regained the lead – 4:3.
In the 44th minute, the Slovak legionnaire of the southerners, Michal Krzysztof, restored equality, and half a minute before the end of normal time, Sergei Popov converted the majority and brought the hosts an important victory.
Sochi now has 25 points after 22 matches. The team takes 6th place in the Western Conference, 1 tournament point ahead of SKA.
On October 30 and 31, the Sochi team will play double matches against Dynamo Moscow on their ice.
