Sochi football players are silver medalists of the Leather Ball Superfinal

The Sochi team of the Youth Sports School No. 7 won silver medals in the Superfinal of the All-Russian Competition for Young Football Players “Leather Ball”. The tournament was held in Volgograd at the stadium “Zenith”.
The Sochi team competed in the younger age group (among children born in 2011-2012). Supervisor – Dmitry Vasilievtrainer – Eduard Lusikyan.
At the group stage, the Sochi team showed a 100% result, having won all 3 matches – against Berdsk school from the Novosibirsk region with a score of 2:1, against Dynamo from Blagoveshchensk 3:2 and against Favorit from the Labinsk district of the Krasnodar Territory 6:1.
According to the rules of the tournament, the final match between the first and second teams was held. In the decisive game against SSH Berdsk, the main time ended in a draw 3:3, and in the penalty shootout, the players from the Novosibirsk region turned out to be stronger – 5:4.
Sochi resident was recognized as the best player of the tournament Ronaldo Melitonyanthe best midfielder is another player of the Youth Sports School No. 7 Semyon Dobrovolsky. The best defender Artem Baidin from “Favorite” – this Kuban team took fourth place in the tournament, losing in the play-off match “Dynamo” 1:8.
