Smolensk residents became winners and prize-winners of the Open Championship and the championship of the city of Yartsevo in swimming

Pupils of the Center for Education for Children with Special Educational Needs of the city of Smolensk took part in the Open Championship and championship of the city of Yartsev in swimming.
The competition took place on March 17th. In total, 215 athletes from our region took part in them.
Smolensk Education Center was successfully presented by 19 athletes. So, Maxim Timashkov won two silver medals in relay swimming and a bronze medal in the 100 m butterfly style. Petrochenkov Nikolai took two second places in the relay swimming and third place in the 100 m freestyle;
Khraymenkov Vyacheslav won two silver medals in relay swimming and a bronze medal in the 100m breaststroke.
The girls also excelled. Irina Kornienkova was third in the 100m freestyle, and Anastasia Lebed and Aleksandra Bobrova were fourth in the 100m freestyle and breaststroke.
Talented teachers are needed to train excellent athletes. Physical education teacher Sergei Makhnenko, who became the winner in the 100 m butterfly style and earned 4th place in the 100 m backstroke.
