Strong smog has settled in Yekaterinburg this morning, there is a smell of burning. Local residents publish photos on social networks, because of the smoke they do not see buildings in different parts of the city.

Due to poor visibility and smog from fires, more than nine cars collided on the Yekaterinburg-Nizhny Tagil-Serov highway, the regional traffic police reported. One person died and six others were injured.
According to the Emergencies Ministry for the Sverdlovsk region, there are 32 fires in the region. Over the past day, 12 fires have been extinguished.
