The new Oppo Find N2 foldable smartphone with a flexible display is not officially sold in Russia. But there are no problems with its offer on marketplaces. I managed to test the Chinese novelty, which for three months held the leading position in sales in its category in its homeland.

It is difficult to say what exactly the apparatus liked so much by the inhabitants of the Celestial Empire. But you can find attractive aspects in it. Folding smartphones in the form factor of a book have historically settled in the upper price segment and the flagship category. The Find N2 developers have survived this status.

The quality of materials and assembly is excellent. The model is packaged in an impressive box with a fancy opening mechanism. To disassemble the entire set, you will have to complete the quest for fine motor skills. By the way, I will separately note the case imitating eco-leather on the back cover of the device. Perhaps this is the only smartphone that gets better with a complete accessory, even if it adds a couple of millimeters in thickness.

Find N2 dimensions are already special. Among the competitors, for example, Samsung Galaxy Fold4 5G, Xiaomi Mix Fold2 and Huawei Mate Xs 2, Oppo’s brainchild is the lightest. But also the lowest. The diagonal of the external display is 5.54 inches, and the internal display is 7.1 inches with an almost square aspect ratio.

Oppo’s partnership with the Swedish Hasselblad, whose logo props up an impressive camera block, also works to the status. Regardless of the share and quality of the participation of these parties, shooting on the main 50-megapixel module is commendable. The 32-megapixel telephoto and 48-megapixel wide-angle cameras, as in most cases, perform confidently in good light. There are two front cameras at once, identical – one on each of the displays.

But even such an abundance of photosensors fades against the backdrop of a folding screen. Oppo engineers almost managed to get rid of the vertical crease, as well as the feel of it. The solution turned out to be successful not only visually and technically. The developers guarantee 400,000 smartphone discoveries, which is at least five years in years. The moral old age of the apparatus will come faster.

Support for 120 Hz, HDR 10+, AMOLED technologies are revealed more strongly in spectacular native video screens. This shows the desire of the creators to impress. It turned out, even without taking into account the filling.
