Slovak President Chaputova recalled who liberated the country from fascism

In honor of the Day of victory over fascism, which is celebrated in Slovakia on May 8, President Zuzana Chaputova recalled that the territory of the republic was liberated from the troops of Nazi Germany by the Soviet Red Army with the support of local resistance, the first Czechoslovak army corps and Romanian units
Chaputova noted that the USSR was part of the anti-Hitler coalition along with Great Britain, the USA, France and China, and by the end of the war more than 50 states of the world were involved in it.
The Day of Victory over Fascism is a public holiday and a day off in Slovakia.
