The results of the All-Russian ski jumping competition “Sakhalin Cup” were summed up in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Over the course of two days, boys and girls competed in individual and team competitions. Seven teams took part in the final stage: representatives of the regions and the combined teams of the Perm Territory and the Magadan Region, who performed outside the competition.
Based on the results of team performances, first place was taken by representatives of the Nizhny Novgorod region Veronika Pavlova and Danila Rogalev. The second result went to Eva Lavskaya and Ignatius Mukhin from the Sverdlovsk region. Sakhalin residents Anastasia Kalinina and Nikita Belenok won bronze.
On the initiative of Vladimir Putin, the country has a concept for the development of children’s and youth sports, which involves children in activities from a very early age. According to the president, the path to big-time Olympic sports begins in childhood, and the successes of outstanding athletes serve as an example and largely determine the choice of young people in favor of a healthy, active lifestyle. And in order for them to confidently move forward and reach new heights, they need support, including and above all from the state.
