International karate competitions “Eurasia Cup” started in Bashkiria

The opening of the international and all-Russian competitions in all-style karate “Eurasian Cup” took place in Sterlitamak. One and a half thousand athletes from 40 regions of Russia and 15 countries of Europe, Asia and Africa came to Bashkiria.
According to Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic Irek Sagitov, since 2015 these competitions have been called the Urals and Volga Region Cup. Since 2020, after being included in the calendar plan of the country’s Ministry of Sports, they have become all-Russian.
“In 2023, competitions among adults received the status of official international competitions with the possibility of fulfilling the standard of an international master of sports of Russia,” added the Deputy Prime Minister.
The cup will last until October 16.
