The list of extremists includes Vladimir Belyakov, Andrey Volkov, Maxim Druzhinin, Timofey Mokiy, Andrey Pronsky and Vladimir Stepanov. All of them were detained in April last year along with another accused, Vasily Strizhakov. On November 16, the 2nd Western District Military Court in Moscow released 43-year-old Vasily Strizhakov from punishment, sending him for compulsory treatment to a mental hospital.
On April 25, 2022, the FSB announced the prevention of an assassination attempt on Vladimir Solovyov. In total, eight people were detained in the case, another detainee was Denis Abrarov. The investigation believes that all the accused were members of the National Socialism / White Power group, banned in the Russian Federation and recognized as a terrorist neo-Nazi group. After the assassination attempt, they planned to hide on the territory of Ukraine, the FSB believes.
The accused are charged with 5 articles of the Criminal Code: preparation for murder in a generally dangerous manner (Part 1 of Article 30, paragraphs “b, f, g, h”, Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code), (obstruction of the legitimate professional activities of journalists with the threat of violence ( Part 3 of Article 144), participation in a terrorist organization (Part 2 of Article 205.5), storage and manufacture of weapons and explosive devices (Part 4 of Article 222, Part 4 of Article 222.1, Part 3 of Article 223) and destruction and damage to property (Article 167 of the Criminal Code).
