People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, singer Vladimir Devyatov spoke about the wounding of his 21-year-old grandson in the Donbass during a special operation.
According to him, his 21-year-old grandson Dmitry, the son of Ekaterina Lyakhova, daughter from his first marriage, was drafted into the army last fall and then he signed a contract for two years and went to perform tasks in the special operation zone in February. And in March, he was blown up by a mine. For a whole month, relatives could not find out anything about the fate of Dmitry, until she himself got in touch.
“We tried to find him, they didn’t give us any information. My eldest daughter Katerina and I were worried. And he called already when he got to the hospital,” the artist said in the Secret for a Million program on NTV.
According to Devyatov, a fragment pierced through Dmitry’s leg, and his arm was also seriously injured. Doctors hope that the arm and leg will be developed. So far, the young man’s hand is weak.
The 67-year-old singer also said that Dmitry was awarded the Georgy Zhukov medal for courage, dedication and personal courage.
