Singer Varvara revealed the secret: how to remove extra pounds

We met in a small cozy hotel, which is located near the main attraction of Vitebsk – the Town Hall. To the right of the hotel you can see the street where the tents are located. From different parts of Belarus, local craftsmen come here and demonstrate their talents. Here you can see paintings, wooden spoons, clay whistles, linen clothes and designer clothes of local craftsmen.

First of all, we asked the singer about condensed milk, because, according to Varvara, she always brought this delicacy from Belarus in jars.

— You remember, don’t you? Barbara was surprised. – Indeed, usually I brought a specially empty suitcase, which I stuffed with condensed milk and took it home. She treated her friends, and did not forget about her family. Of course, you can also buy it here in Russia, but it seems to me that they don’t do better at the local factory.

“But this year they didn’t take it,” we asked Varvara.

– No, I didn’t buy it, now I bypass sweet shops. Gained extra two kilograms and decided to limit myself to food. I didn’t go on a diet, it’s just that every year you can gain weight very quickly, but it takes a lot of effort to lose it, so the first thing I revised was my diet.

– It’s only two kilograms, and you are so worried.

– I’m not worried. It’s just that my profession obliges me to keep myself in shape. Men can and should grow up, gain weight … but women still shouldn’t do this. Then the artists are always filmed by television, and the image on the camera is slightly different from the original. Television does not spare. And there already my two kilograms look like five. And they are already beginning to ask: “Oh, why did she get so much better?

– Tell us, what, besides sweets, did you decide to remove from your diet?

– Everything is complicated here. You need to watch yourself all the time, eat little. I’m doing my best, I must say. I am on a proper diet: gluten-free food, no sugar, and I gradually lose weight. The main thing is to have a balance of protein and slow carbohydrates.

– And, of course, protein nutrition, beloved by all artists? we ask.

– No no. Protein can be consumed when you do a lot of sports, otherwise it will be harmful. This probably applies to those artists who do not leave the gym.

– How did the lemonade that you just drank get on the list for a healthy diet?

– And you had to close your eyes (laughs). Once a year is possible. I drank lemonade exactly a year ago at the same place: here is the real taste of lemonade from childhood. I like barberry more, but as a child I drank Pinocchio and lemonade for three kopecks from a machine.

– What was in your shopping suitcase this time?

Everyone has their weaknesses. I have clothes with peas. You can’t even imagine how many dresses with peas I have at home. Both big and small. I can not pass by any thing where polka dots are present. Even if I don’t buy it, I’ll at least look at and touch the dress or blouse.

— Designers say that this season is a trend.

– Let’s start with the fact that fashion always repeats itself with a certain cyclicity. Then, fashion in Russia and fashion in any other country is very different. We still wear more what is comfortable, and not what the models show on the catwalk. And as for peas, it seems to me that it is always in fashion.

– You are now wearing a suit that …

– Oh, I know what you say that it is very reminiscent of our native Gzhel. Yes, very similar. Apparently our Russian-folk crafts excite the minds of world artists. My costume is not from Russia, but it looks so much like it. Do you know, for example, that the well-known Dolce & Gabanna at one time made a complete collection, where clothes, bags were in this style. And there was nothing for anyone. But this is our business.

– Varvara, most of your songs are in the style of ethno-pop and Slavic folk. How did it happen that you are invited to a concert where chanson stars perform. Not offended?

What, an invitation? Of course not. You see, chanson has changed a lot now. If earlier most of the songs were “thieves”, glorifying the hard life or mores of the criminal environment, now a completely unpredictable song can be attributed to the chanson genre. If you look at the definition of chanson, then this is the French name for the genre of courtly song in the cabaret style. Therefore, you should not remember: what was the chanson before. We live here and now.

– In the summer you have not rested a single day, will there be a vacation?

– As much as I would not love my job, but you need to rest. And then I will soon begin to forget which city I come to. Every day a new city. Here’s another festival and I’m going on vacation. As you know, only mountains can be better than mountains, so I’m going to admire their beauties.

Varvara walked around the city, looked at local crafts. She bought two dresses with polka dots, looked at a picture of her favorite peonies, tapped wooden spoons, drank lemonade and rocked on a swing. On this beautiful note, we said goodbye, and she went to perform and give people joy.
