According to Financial Times, citing unnamed knowledgeable sources, Singapore’s state investment fund Temasek, which manages almost $300 billion in assets, is in talks to invest in the American company OpenAI, which developed the GhatGPT chatbot. It is reported that the fund’s top managers have already met several times with the head of OpenAI, Sam Altman.
Initially, the Singaporeans wanted to invest in Altman’s own venture fund called Hydrazine Capital, but later they talked about investing in OpenAI. It is not reported how much the Singaporean investment fund wants to invest in the American company.
